Two different jobs
In-platform AI (Jobber's AI Receptionist, Housecall Pro's CSR AI, Podium's AI Employee "Jerry") answers inside the software you already pay for. It fields calls and texts, and books into that platform's calendar. Its audience is people who already have your number or are already in your system.
A website chatbot (Vellops) lives on your public website. Its audience is every visitor Google, ads, and word of mouth send you — most of whom have never called you and never will if their question goes unanswered. It's trained on your website's services, prices and FAQs, and its whole job is turning visitors into leads and bookings.
They don't replace each other. Plenty of businesses run both — the platform AI for the phone, a website chatbot for the website. The mistake is assuming the first one covers the second one's job. It doesn't, because your website visitors never touch it.

What in-platform AI doesn't do for your website
- It isn't on your website. A visitor reading your services page at 10pm gets the same silent page as ever — the platform AI never meets them.
- It isn't trained on your website. It's trained on your job data and price book inside the platform. Your website's actual sales content — services, pricing guidance, FAQs, your service area pitch — is what a website chatbot answers from.
- It doesn't convert strangers. Its conversations start with people who already decided to call or text you. The visitor who was comparing three companies and needed one question answered first is a different, bigger pool.
How they run together
Vellops doesn't integrate with Jobber, Housecall Pro, or ServiceTitan — we'll never tell you otherwise. It doesn't need to: your chatbot books into your calendar and emails you every lead and conversation summary, and your platform keeps doing what it does. No platform switch, no migration, nothing to rip out. If your platform's AI genuinely answers your website visitors and books them, you may not need us — check that it does, on your actual website, before you decide either way.
